Dark Dancing

A godless whisper,
she blew out
the lamps and
darkened the home
until it was black in
all the corners and
the mice fell asleep
in the nothingness.

The curtains swayed
in the cold breeze
from the lightless windows,
no moon in
illumination.

The colors swirled
richly, but no one
could see.
The breeze speckled gold,
but she was made blind.

And on the worn out
floorboards, who had given
up their sighing years ago,
she twirled her feet
where nobody saw her,
she swooped her neck
and raised her arms
with no fear,
she was endless
and infinite
because she
could disappear
into the floor,

into the walls or the sky.

This earthling diaspora
had opened the universe,
and had spread it out,
cracked open the bones
and dug out the root.

here lie the universe
under tapping
toes,
on the kitchen floor
in the dark.
